Welcome to the home of the vMax Sim Racing Team - dedicated motorsport and simulated-racing enthusiasts!
It is with great sadness that I bring the news that our beloved rFactor/GTR team-leader, Peo Forsberg, died on Sunday (9th August) as a result of injuries sustained in a traffic accident that occurred near the town of Glanshammar, Sweden.
Peo, who was due to celebrate his 43rd birthday next month, leaves behind his wife and two children.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. On behalf of vMax, I extend condolences to Peo's family and friends.

The 2009 V8 Thunder Winter Series has been a challenge, not only did the team undergo structural changes to bring them back into shape but also the addition of new drivers. The previous week saw two drivers claim their first ever titles, namely Martin Buchan and Ben Parker. The two recruits from the beginning of the season have adapted themselves well to the new environment. Having shown their performance throughout the season and leading the standings for most of the races, Buchan lost the lead in Inters coming into the last and final round at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. That didn't stop him from winning the series as he went on to win the penultimate round of the championship and in doing so winning the overall standings. Parker didn't carry the same luck as he suffered an engine failure in the last round of the Truck series on the same track. He could instead rely on the fact he already had a significant gap to the chasing drivers winning the overall standings by a mere 60 pts. vMaxSR won the team standings in Trucks which was mostly down to the new competitive duo.

Following a season of varying results, vMaxSR are back with a vengeance. With fresh blood in the team, it has given new energy and spirit to the squad. Martin Buchan has claimed a streak of victories which puts him at the top of the standings in Inters, whilst Ben is currently leading Trucks having claimed one victory but instead shown his strength in the ability to stay consistent. With a few outings by Caspar Kahari complementing the "vMaxSR 1" team throughout the two main divisions, they are subsequently leading both of the teams standings as well.

vMaxSR can today announce the signing of the two top Stock Car drivers Martin Buchan and Ben Parker. The addition to the team comes as a big surprise to everyone involved as the pair are commonly known to have battled the Cardiff based team for several seasons, but are now joining forces instead. Initial reports claim that all parties are happy with the agreement made. It was a relieved division co-ordinator who could confirm the news, following a problematic season this is a significant improvement made to the squad. Whilst Ben will bring with him speed, youth and energy, Martin will act as a key player supporting the team with unlimited wool and cookies.

The 2008 Trophy Summer Series in V8 Thunder would prove to be a close contest between the two vMaxSR teammates Yosh Hughes and Sanjin Haler. Other strong contestants was Thomas Hendrickson and Caspar Kahari but due to a string of failed finishes mid-season it would mean the two were put out of contention. The returning Trophy Series which saw the division closed the previous season, featured the new Car of Tomorrow as a fresh addition to the championship.
Whilst Yosh was able to pull a comfortable lead coming into the last few rounds, penalty points and bad luck would enable Sanjin to close right up his back, who himself had a somewhat troubled drive up and till this point in the championship. Entering the last race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, Yosh had the manageable but far from reassuring lead of 58p to Sanjin. The title would come down to an accident which gained Scotsman Yosh Hughes penalty points, as the charging Croatian Sanjin Haler pulled one of his best performances to date winning the race and gaining maximum points, it was the later who would appear victorious claiming the title by 35p.
Sanjin now adds his Trophy title to the one claimed in 2007 when racing the V8 Thunder Short Track Series.
